Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; associate’s or bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• CDA certification preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience with young children in licensed childcare or preschool.
• State-required pre-service training completed.
• Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, families and faculty.

Responsibilities

• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using the Wonder of Learning curriculum.
• Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Maintain open, effective communication with families and guardians about child’s progress and daily activities.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to uphold health and safety standards.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
• Observe and document children’s learning to inform activities and share insights with families.
• Foster collaboration with Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers.
• Model positive guidance strategies to support social-emotional growth.
