Job summary

City of Loveland seeks a part-time Preschool Teacher to plan and deliver quality instruction for 3- to 5-year-olds. Expect 4-8 hour shifts Mon–Fri with possible evenings/weekends for training and events.

Position follows Thompson School District calendar; workdays may occur during school breaks. Responsibilities include environment setup, safety checks, and collaboration with licensed staff to meet QRIS standards.

Qualifications

• Must meet Colorado state licensing requirements for an Early Childhood Teacher.
• Paths include Bachelor/Master/Doctorate in listed fields or equivalent with additional ECE courses.
• Two ECE courses or Pyramid Model training if degree not in ECE fields.
• Minimum age 18 at hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare classroom daily and conduct safety checks.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned to ELDG.
• Engage children with developmentally appropriate activities and assess progress.
• Communicate with families during conferences and maintain records.
• Assist in recruiting and training classroom volunteers and staff.
