Rutland County Parent Child Center is seeking nurturing and collaborative Early Childhood Educators for our location located in Rutland, Vermont. We are dedicated to helping young children develop and grow in a safe, nurturing environment, recognizing individual strengths, creating trusting relationships, and partnering with families and communities to ensure the best possible outcomes for every child. RCPCC uses a 2-Gen approach, working with both families and children simultaneously to identify needs and align programming to deliver services for long-term impacts. Our 5 STAR preschool space on Chaplin Ave is ready to welcome a prek lead teacher. All Early Educators on this site work directly with young children, ages 3-5. Lead Teachers plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum to meet objectives through hands-on, play-based activities. Classroom environments are created to engage children using philosophies ranging from Montessori to Reggio Emelia. RCPCC participates in Universal Preschool with the state of Vermont, contracting with local districts.

Degrees are preferred but not required. MUST QUALIFY AS AT LEAST A TEACHER ASSOCIATE PER VT CHILDCARE REGULATIONS. This includes a year of experience in a center-based setting AND at least 21 college credits in early education. Please ensure you resume is up-to-date to be considered for an initial interview. Those with a minimum of 12 credits are also welcome to apply with a plan for continued education.
Preference will be given to those who hold an Agency of Education Teaching License with an endorsement in Early Childhood Education.
