Qualifications

• Proven experience in early childhood settings, including preschool or daycare.
• Strong knowledge of child development, curriculum design, classroom and behavior management.
• Excellent communication for parent updates and team collaboration.
• First aid and CPR certification; familiarity with mandated reporting.
• Experience with children needing special education or early intervention preferred.
• Knowledge of literacy strategies and physical education for young children.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement curriculum plans aligned with early childhood standards.
• Create a stimulating classroom that supports exploration and independence.
• Manage daily activities with enthusiasm and positive behavior management.
• Assess developmental progress through observations and testing; tailor instruction.
• Communicate with parents about progress and concerns; foster home-school partnerships.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and aides.
• Ensure health, safety, mandated reporting laws, first aid, and CPR certifications.
• Collaborate on events, field trips, and community engagement.
