Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a Pre‑K Lead Teacher to provide developmentally appropriate preschool education as a Certified Teacher in Pennsylvania. The role is full-time, hourly at $21.00–$25.00, with responsibilities spanning curriculum planning, staff supervision, and adherence to state and YMCA standards.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (60 ECE credits acceptable) and PA Instructional Level II in PNK/PK‑4th preferred; Level I considered with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred, or related field with 60 ECE credits
• PA Instructional Level II in PNK or PK‑4th preferred; Level I acceptable with induction plan participation

Responsibilities

• Plan curriculum with Flexible Instruction Plan and ensure age‑appropriate lessons
• Adhere to NAEYC, Keystone STARS, Grow NJ Kids standards and licensing regulations
• Supervise classroom staff to ensure proper interactions and redirection
• Maintain daily attendance records and emergency contact binders
• Communicate child progress with parents and protect confidentiality
• Conduct developmental assessments and family conferences (≥3 times/year)
• Ensure classroom cleanliness and proper center setup per standards
• Inform Director of concerns regarding facility, staffing, or ratios
• Plan and manage resources and staffing effectively
• Balance group activities with child‑led choices per NAEYC/Keystone STARS
• Attend staff meetings and trainings per YMCA policies
• Keep updated on NAEYC guidelines and funding requirements
• Lead with professionalism and accountability
