Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to spearhead complex marine electrical integration projects for new and existing vessels. GE Power Conversion provides Electrical power conversion systems for various renewables, industry, marine, and Oil & Gas applications. Typical scope includes MV & LV drives, motors, transformers, E-house, switchgear, and control as well as the associated power systems engineering.

Job Description

The Lead Systems Engineer will be expected to lead complex marine electrical integration projects for new and existing construction vessels.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Interface directly with key marine customers,
• Work with GE site engineer(s) at customer facility,
• Work withcustomerto develop specifications,
• Deep knowledge of the current GE PC product portfolio is essential including drives, motors, power systems as well as energy storage systems,
• Assistcustomerin planning activities,
• Lead the establishment of on-site GE installation and commissioning teams.
• Provide project leadership for programs under execution,
• Ensure marine electrical system designs meet customer and regulatory requirements, Coordinate engineering efforts with manufacturing, sourcing, field services, and key vendors,
• Work closely with GE Principal engineers and experts to manage risk.
• Communicate risks, issues, and overall progress to appropriate levels of the organization,
• Ensure proper engineering resources are available for project teams, and work with management to address any shortfalls,

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent engineering disciplines,
• 5years experiencein power electronics or power systems.

• Master’s Degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or related engineering field,
• Ability to working with cross functional and multi-disciplinary engineering team,

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $98,400.00 and $164,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
