Northrop Grumman in Rolling Meadows, IL, seeks a Power Electronics Engineer at Level 3 or Level 4 for its Space Sector. This 100% onsite role focuses on designing power supplies for space applications within the Electrical Design & Technology group.

You will develop state-of-the-art power conversion architectures, collaborate with hardware and system engineers, and drive design verification from concept through qualification, with emphasis on EMI/EMC and environmental requirements.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with power supply design experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience for Level 3 or 8+ years for Level 4, with no clearance required to start.
• Experience in power supply circuit design from schematic capture to test and integration.
• Experience using Mentor Graphics/Expedition or Altium for schematic capture.
• Proficiency in LTSpice/SPICE/PSPICE, Saber, SIMPLIS, or Simulink.

Responsabilidades

• Design power supplies, including simulation, schematic capture, parts selection, and PCB layout.
• Carry out technical trade studies and worst-case/component stress analyses.
• Provide manufacturing support for hardware builds and testing.
• Develop Acceptance Test Procedures and perform first-piece testing.
• Lead a team of engineers through design, simulation, and testing of power supplies.
• Support lab work and ensure documentation and configuration management.
