Job summary

Mammotome seeks a Principal Scientist, Polymers in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this role, you will lead initiatives across product development programs for implantable medical devices, driving innovation and strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, expertise in bioabsorbable polymers, and a proven track record in medical device development. The position offers an annual salary between $170,000 and $180,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package including insurance and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in bioabsorbable polymer materials, including degradation behavior and structure-property relationships.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional engineering projects.
• Extensive experience in medical device development, including regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific and technical leadership for development programs involving bioabsorbable polymer-based devices.
• Serve as a technical lead for cross-functional teams across R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and Clinical functions.
• Drive innovation through polymer chemistry, formulation, processing, and materials characterization.
