Job summary

State of South Carolina is seeking a Plumber II to join the Facilities Management team in Columbia, SC. The role involves lead plumbing tasks, maintenance, and coordination of work orders within Admin-owned and contracted buildings.

The position requires journeyman level skill, a valid SC Driver's license, and backflow certification. It includes on-call duties, weekend work, and adherence to safety standards across FM projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience in installation, repair or maintenance of building plumbing systems.
• Experience in installation, repair or maintenance of building systems (General Building Maintenance).
• Valid Class D South Carolina Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform journeyman-level plumbing work and lead other FM plumbers in planning and completing maintenance tasks.
• Complete maintenance, repair, and renovation tasks for plumbing and related trades, individually or as part of a team.
• Provide professional, courteous communication with supervisors, tenants, and the public regarding work progress and status.
