Job summary

Cardinal Civil Resources (CCR) is seeking a seasoned Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to lead projects in Virginia and support our growing surveying division. You will oversee budgets, schedules, field operations, and the coordination of surveyors, CAD technicians, and project coordinators, while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring compliance with scope, quality, and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED is required; an advanced degree is desirable.
• Experience: minimum four years in land surveying, with at least two years in a senior management level.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budgets, estimates, cost control, and schedules for projects.
• Supervise surveyors, project coordinators, and CAD technicians.
• Prepare client invoices, deliverables, and project-related correspondence.
• Schedule fieldwork, office work, and project deliverables.
• Establish deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress.
• Represent senior stakeholders at meetings and report to clients.
• Prepare change orders and monitor project budgets.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate operations including PMs and field staff.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and pursue new business.
• Maintain quality and safety compliance across projects.
