Job summary

Empire Livestock LLC is seeking an experienced industrial maintenance technician to install, monitor, and repair PLC devices, HMIs, and related instrumentation. The role involves diagnosing faults, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring equipment operates at optimal capacity on a manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting PLCs and drives, reading blueprints and ladder logic, and mentoring junior technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade/technical schooling in industrial automation/electrical preferred.
• 4–6 years of industrial maintenance electrical/PLC experience in manufacturing.
• State electrician license or equivalent certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust PLCs, HMIs, and field devices.
• Inspect and maintain power and motor control systems and drives.
• Diagnose downtime and improve equipment performance to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance and document activities.
• Train team members and mentor junior technicians.
• Read and interpret blueprints and ladder logic for installations and repairs.
