Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a lead operations professional to oversee the safe, efficient maintenance and testing of natural gas pipelines across an assigned area. You will guide field teams, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and coordinate with contractors and regulators to uphold high standards of reliability.

The role requires strong leadership, mechanical aptitude, and proven ability to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong leadership and communication capabilities.
• Mechanical knowledge, skills, and experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all required Operator Qualification (OQ) tasks for the position.
• Valid driver's license and ability to maintain any required DOT certifications.
• Ability to operate a UTV, if required.
• Proficient with multiple computer applications and field data systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain natural gas pipelines and equipment in the assigned area.
• Lead pipeline isolation and gas handling activities, including blowdown, purging, pressurizing pipelines, and the installation and operation of air movers/expellers.
• Write, review, and edit Gas Handling and Energy Isolation/Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) plans.
• Assist with general pipeline right-of-way (ROW) maintenance activities.
• Assist in pigging operations, including smart pig and wireline operations; operate and maintain launchers/receivers and pigging valves; and operate geophones.
• Communicate with contractors, the public, landowners, and government agencies regarding gas operations.
• Document work in the SAP Work Management System and adhere to follow-up documentation procedures.
