Riser Fitness in Eden Prairie is seeking a Lead Pilates Instructor for both full-time and part-time roles, offering $40.00-$70.00 per class or more depending on experience, negotiable for qualified talent. The position emphasizes leadership, mentoring fellow instructors, and delivering high-quality Pilates classes.

The ideal candidate has 450+ hours of Pilates education, 2+ years of teaching, strong customer service, and a drive to foster growth within a vibrant club environment.

Qualifications

• 450+ hour comprehensive Pilates education.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience.
• Capable of using a contemporary approach to classical exercises.
• Pleasant demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
• Experience teaching 6+ participants in apparatus-based group classes.
• Demonstrated group Reformer instruction abilities.
• Previous leadership or management experience.
• Professional and effective communication skills.
• Willingness to evolve with Pilates industry developments.
• Participation in continued education trainings and seminars.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe use of equipment like Reformer, Chair, and other apparatus in each class.
• Provide modifications and progressions for clients with injuries or limitations.
• Stay up to date with Club Pilates education standards and implement them.
• Develop and create safe, effective, and challenging class plans.
• Deliver Intro, group apparatus, private, and semi-private sessions as scheduled.
• Maintain open availability for a minimum of 15 hours per week.
• Participate in lead instructor conference calls and train staff on topics discussed.
• Regularly inspect equipment for damage and report updates as needed.
• Track and review instructor performance to ensure standards.
• Provide mentorship and support to instructors, fostering a positive team culture.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must be skilled at proper and safe use of a variety of equipment during each class, including, but not limited to, hand weights, Chair, Reformer, Springboard, TRX, Magic Circle and other equipment as needed to ensure a safe yet creative group experience
• Demonstrate anatomical knowledge and focus on safety with the ability to provide modifications and progressions for clients with injuries and/or limitations
• Stay up to date with, and implement Club Pilates education standards at all times
• Develop and create class plans that are safe, effective, and challenging pursuant to Club Pilates standards
• Provide Pilates instruction to include Intro classes, group apparatus classes, private and semi-private training as scheduled
• Maintain open availability for a minimum of 15 hours per week
• Participation in monthly Lead Instructor conference calls and subsequent training of staff regarding topics covered on these calls
• Regularly inspect equipment for damage or wear and make recommendations to management about updates
• Track and review other Pilates Instructors for proficiency and performance
• Provide support and mentorship to Pilates Instructors to uphold Club Pilates standards, while fostering a positive and collaborative team culture
• Any other duties as assigned
