Responsibilities

• Provides medical services to patients in an assigned area.
• Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Coordinates discharge planning with case management.
• Participates in medical education and research programs as requested.
• Documents care to meet insurer requirements; appeals denials in a timely manner.
• Participates in inpatient and outpatient specialty consultations, including on-call duties.
