Job summary

The Brevard Health Alliance Inc in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Lead Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining inventory, and keeping patient records. This full-time role requires Florida technician registration (or intern) and emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and patient safety.

Ideal candidates will have experience with EMR and Pharmacy POS systems, strong communication skills, and a willingness to work long or irregular hours to support

Qualifications

• Current State of Florida Pharmacy Technician Registration or Florida Pharmacy Intern registration required.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred.
• IV admixture experience preferred.
• 6+ months of FQHC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fills physician orders and stock requisitions accurately.
• Contacts prescribers’ offices or hospitals to clarify prescription information.
• Contacts insurance companies and PBMs to clarify prescriptions and obtain prior authorizations.
• Restock and rotates stock to ensure use before expiration date.
• Attends pharmacy staff meetings and reads pertinent emails.
• Maintains logs and documentation accurately.
