Job summary

PharMerica in Greensburg, PA seeks a full-time Pharmacy Technician Supervisor for a closed-door LTC setting. You will lead orientation, training, and evaluation of technicians, oversee workflow and scheduling, and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and quality standards.

You will fill prescriptions, prepare medications (including non-sterile compounding), and support inventory, data entry, and IV-related tasks under leadership guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• LTC pharmacy experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of drugs, terminology, and ability to operate a computer; scheduling and performance management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead orientation, training, competency assessment, and evaluation of Pharmacy Technicians with support from Lead Pharmacy Technicians.
• Oversee technician workflow and scheduling with support from Leads.
• Provide structure, direction, and feedback to pharmacy technician staff with leadership guidance.
• Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery, meeting accuracy and productivity standards.
• Prepare medications including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments; may include non-sterile compounding.
• Handle narcotics room duties, automated prepacking, inventory monitoring, data entry, and IV preparation.
• Support facility-based dispensing machines and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Ensure adherence to local/state/federal regulations and productivity/accuracy standards.
