Amerita, Inc. is seeking a Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team in a fast-growing home infusion environment. You will supervise technicians, oversee workflow, and ensure accurate preparation, labeling and dispensing of medications.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, training, and collaboration with clinicians to support patient care. Schedule is Monday–Saturday, 10:00am–6:30pm, with competitive pay and benefits including health, dental, vision and life insurance,

Qualifikationen

• Experience in an LTC pharmacy setting.
• Experience supervising Pharmacy Technicians is preferred.
• Strong computer and data-entry skills.
• Knowledge of medication terminology and metric system.

• Participates in orientation, training and evaluation of Pharmacy Technicians.
• Monitors workflow and reassigns Technicians as needed.
• Prepares technician schedules to meet pharmacy needs.
• Fills prescription items and packages medications for dispensing and delivery.
• Prepares various dosage forms including IV medications and non-sterile compounding.
• Manages inventory and identifies expired medications.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and safety standards.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Participates in orientation, training, competency assessment, and evaluation of Pharmacy Technicians.
• Monitors work flow and reassigns Pharmacy Technicians as needed.
• Prepares Pharmacy Technician schedules to meet the needs of the pharmacy.
• Fills prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and for delivery, meeting the accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy.
• Prepares medications including emulsions, liquids, powders and ointments, which may include non-sterile compounding.
• May perform the following:
• Works in the Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) Room.
• Works with automated machines to prepack drugs.
• Manages inventory functions such as monitoring pharmaceutical levels and identify expired medications, managing to the pharmacy standard for Days on Hand.
• Inputs patient data and medication orders into a computer system to produce labels (data entry).
• Mixes/packages IV medications, sanitizes IV room, equipment and hood.
• Services facility-based medication dispensing machines (e.g., RxNow).
• Communicates with internal and external customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Ensure technician adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Learning Experience

• Required: HS diploma or equivalent

Work Experience

• Required: Experience in an LTC pharmacy setting
• Desired: Prior supervisory experience

Skills/Knowledge

• Required: Basic understanding of drugs, medication terminology, and metric system; ability to operate a computer.
• Desired: Workflow management skills; scheduling skills; performance management

Salary Range

USD $29.00 - $32.00 / Hour
