Omnicare, a CVS Health Company, seeks a Lead Pharmacy Technician for the Back End department in Reno, NV. In this role you will lead the back-end technician team, ensure proper medication preparation, and support the pharmacist team in dispensing processes.

• Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician as required by state law.
• 1+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent.
• PTCB national certification preferred.

Day In The Life:As a Lead Pharmacy Technician, you will work to lead and support the back-end pharmacy technician team by ensuring proper preparation of medications to be dispensed by the pharmacist team. Our back-end team focuses on order fulfillment including packaging and dispensing of medication, reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy, and coordinating stock rotations. Additional tasks and responsibilities include:* Leading and assisting Pre-Pack, Picking, Staging, Automated Dispensing, Purchasing, Inventory, Returns/Credits, and Delivery departments toward their primary objectives* Providing regular and timely feedback on pharmacy technician performance* Partnering with pharmacy leaders on team training plans and collaborating with field training teams as needed* Assisting in orientation, training, and education programs for all controlled substances in accordance with policies, procedures, state, and federal laws The Team:Omnicare, a CVS Health Company, provides care to those in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and chronic care settings.
