Job summary

The Pharmacy Technician 3 at University of Miami supports pharmacists in dispensing medications, prepares labels, and assists with inventory control within regulatory guidelines. Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience required.
• Vaild Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Certification or license where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information and maintains patient records.
• Fills orders and prepares labels for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals.
• Implements inventory control procedures and orders supplies within regulatory guidelines.
• Responsible for hazardous, specialized, or advanced level compounding.
• Serves as a Pharmacy Technician Coordinator, when needed.
• Resolves problems related to prescription inquiries.
• Performs the preceptor role in training of students and onboarding of new technicians.
• Mentors or serves as a role model for staff.
