Job summary

Stone Mountain Pet Lodge in Blaine, MN is seeking a Lead Pet Care Technician to supervise the Lodging team while delivering exceptional care for dogs and cats. You will lead daily operations, train staff, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

This is a working leadership role requiring hands-on pet care, problem solving, and calm, professional leadership. Weekend and holiday availability is needed.

Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Previous professional animal care experience required.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Comfortable administering pet medications.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Dependable with a positive attitude.
  • Available to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding care for dogs and cats, including administering medications
  • Lead daily operations during your shift
  • Coach and support Pet Care Assistants and Pet Care Technicians
  • Assign work, monitor productivity, and adjust priorities throughout the day
  • Help train new employees
  • Ensure our facility remains clean, safe, and organized
  • Provide excellent customer service to pet parents
  • Transport pets using our Pet Taxi (after company approval and training)
