Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL seeks an experienced OB/GYN sonography QA/QC professional to generate and analyze QA/QC reports for obstetric ultrasound services. You will monitor performance metrics, ensure adherence to standards, and drive continuous quality improvement across OB/MFM imaging.

You will collaborate with physicians and sonographers, maintain quality databases, and support standardized imaging practices in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years OB/GYN sonography experience.
• ARDMS/ARRT OB/Gyn credentials or strong equivalent.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

Responsibilities

• Generate, analyze, and distribute QA/QC reports for OB/MFM ultrasound services.
• Monitor study performance to ensure compliance with standards.
• Conduct routine audits of OB/MFM imaging and verify documentation quality.
• Identify variances and opportunities for improvement; report to leadership.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to standardize imaging practices.
• Maintain quality databases and performance dashboards for ongoing improvement.

Job Description

• Generate, analyze, and distribute quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) reports for Obstetric and Maternal‑Fetal Medicine (MFM) ultrasound services.
• Monitor ultrasound study performance metrics to ensure compliance with departmental, organizational, and accreditation standards.
• Conduct routine audits of OB and MFM imaging studies to verify completeness, accuracy, documentation quality, and adherence to established protocols.
• Identify variances, trends, and opportunities for improvement in imaging quality and workflow processes; communicate findings to leadership and providers.
• Collaborate with physicians, sonographers, and clinical staff to support standardization of imaging practices and consistency across all OB/MFM studies.
• Maintain quality databases, tracking systems, and performance dashboards to support ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

• Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking, and comprehending English effectively to carry out job requirements [Required]
• Ensure a safe and comfortable experience for the patient during the study. [Required]
• Create and edit orders in the electronic medical record. [Required]
• Create patient records in the sonography reporting software system. [Required]
• Create sonographer reports in the sonography reporting software system and enter requisite data. [Required]
• Demonstrate timeliness in completion of studies and documentation. [Required]
• Detailed fetal anatomic surveys [Required]
• Fetal Echocardiography [Required]
• Doppler assessment of arterial and venous blood vessels. [Required]
• Fetal growth assessments [Required]
• Transvaginal cervical length assessments [Required]
• Provide sonographic assistance for procedures (chorionic villus sampling, amniocentesis, cerclage) [Required]

Education

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• Associate [Preferred]

Field Of Study

• Graduation from a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Work Experience

• 3+ experience in OB/GYN sonography. [Required]
• Vascular experience as approved by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in OB/Gyn. [Required]
