Job summary

The State of Indiana seeks a Peer Support Manager to independently develop, adapt, and initiate certification trainings for individuals with lived experience in mental health, substance use and crisis-related conditions. You will supervise up to six contracted peer trainers and ensure fidelity to the curriculum.

Collaborating with Indiana's Recovery Hubs and other organizations, you will oversee training, credentialing, re-certification and continuing education of all Indiana Certified Peer

Qualifications

  • Specialized knowledge in program subject matter through experience or education.
  • Specialized program knowledge including relevant rules and regulations.
  • Extensive knowledge of source materials and federal/state laws governing the programs.
  • Ability to develop and implement new principles and policies with foresight.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to apply general rules to solve problems meaningfully.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of accounting and budgeting principles.
  • Ability to delegate, set direction, and manage workflow.
  • Ability to provide feedback, guidance, and develop staff skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, supervise, and adapt certification trainings for peers.
  • Oversee credentialing, re-certification, and continuing education.
  • Coordinate with regional recovery hubs and recovery organizations.
  • Expand peer support professionals across Indiana's services.
  • Serve as SME to leadership on peer support initiatives.
  • Manage contracts related to peer support oversight.
