Job summary

Children's Minnesota is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform specimen processing, test performance, test result reporting and specimen collection. The MLS provides oversight and support to MLTs, MLSs and phlebotomists in the absence of management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in a pediatric lab.

Certification must be current per CLIA standards. Bachelor's degree in a clinical science is required, with strong emphasis on independence, teamwork, and high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical science or medical technology.
• Must have a baccalaureate or equivalent.
• Demonstrates good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

• Process specimens and perform tests with accuracy and timeliness.
• Report test results and maintain documentation.
