Job summary

Thrive Therapy Center seeks an experienced Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) / Billing Manager to lead our outpatient therapy billing for speech, OT, and PT services. You will own the end‑to‑end process from claim submission to payment posting and denial resolution.

Collaborate with front desk, therapists, and leadership to keep billing efficient while ensuring compliance and timely reimbursements as we grow.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in medical billing/RCM for outpatient therapy.
• Strong understanding of the full revenue cycle from charge entry to collections.
• Experience with CPT/HCPCS coding for therapy services and payer rules.
• Proficient with practice management/EHR and clearinghouse software.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail; able to manage multiple claims and deadlines.
• Clear communicator able to explain billing to families and staff.
• Ability to work independently and lead the billing function while supporting clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end billing cycle for speech, occupational, and physical therapy services, including charge entry, claims submission, and payment posting
• Submit clean claims to commercial insurance, Medicaid, and other payers, and monitor claims through adjudication
• Review, research, and resolve denied or rejected claims — identify root causes, correct and resubmit, and track denial trends over time
• Manage accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid or aged claims to keep days-in-AR low
• Work patient collections, including statements, payment plans, and answering billing questions from families
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, and confirm authorizations/referrals are in place before or during care as needed
• Stay current on pediatric therapy billing requirements, including CPT/HCPCS coding for speech, OT, and PT services, modifiers, unit limits, and payer‑specific rules
• Monitor and troubleshoot issues in the practice management/EHR and clearinghouse systems related to billing and claims
• Help build and refine internal billing workflows, documentation, and best practices as the clinic grows
• Serve as a resource for front office and clinical staff on billing‑related questions, documentation requirements, and payer policies
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and payer billing regulations in all billing activities
