Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth, MN is seeking a registered nurse for a 0.8 FTE role to provide direct care to acute mental health patients and support their families with education. The nurse will lead nursing staff, coordinate care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, and ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Behavioral health experience as an RN, BHT, or intern/capstone student preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize and provide care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Be a team leader and delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based on licensure, preparation, and job descriptions.
• Contribute to the facility's mission and Essentia Health's goals, serving the local community.
• Meet Joint Commission and applicable regulatory/ accrediting agency requirements.
• Provide direct patient care to acute mental health patients and educate/update families.
