Job summary
Our client, a multi-discipline engineering firm, is seeking a licensed PE Electrical Engineer to lead the design of building electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. This hands-on role includes technical ownership, client interaction, and mentoring junior staff. There is an opportunity to become a Partner in the firm.
Location: Greenville, SC. Salary ranges from $100,000 to $125,000 depending on experience.
Qualifications
- PE licensed electrical engineer with leadership experience.
- Experience in power distribution, lighting and low-voltage design.
- Ability to mentor junior staff and interface with clients.
Responsibilities
- Own electrical system design from concept to construction.
- Design power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
- Perform load, short-circuit and coordination studies.
- Develop single-line diagrams, panel schedules, wiring layouts, specs.
- Produce/review drawings using AutoCAD and Revit (BIM).
- Support construction with site visits, submittals, commissioning.
- Coordinate with mechanical, civil, structural teams.
- Mentor engineers/designers and provide QA/QC oversight.
- Interface with clients, utilities, and vendors for code compliance.
