Job summary
Anduril Industries seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to lead the design, integration, verification, and validation of a Thunder payload module. You will direct a 6–8 engineer team spanning software, electrical, and mechanical disciplines and drive hands-on execution from requirements through test and fielding.
This high-visibility role demands leadership, strong systems thinking, and expertise in MIL STD 1553/1760 interfaces, safety interlocks, and test development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in engineering or related discipline with progressive engineering experience.
- Experience with embedded systems and software, including C++, MATLAB, Python, and PERL scripting.
- Experience integrating weapons, payloads, or avionics onto aircraft and with MIL STD 1553/1760.
- Proven leadership of a 6–8 person multidisciplinary engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Lead integration, verification, and validation of a Thunder payload module.
- Direct or guide a team of 6–8 engineers across software, electrical, and mechanical disciplines.
- Develop program plans, estimates, and schedules for the module.
- Coordinate with customers, contractors, and external payload teams on integration issues.
