Job summary

Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary is looking for a Senior Pastor to lead the church in preaching, teaching, and managing church operations in Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have a strong personal walk with Christ, demonstrate effective pastoral care, and drive spiritual growth in the community.

Candidates should possess a Master of Divinity, be ordained, and have a minimum of three years of experience in pastoral ministry, along with a commitment to biblical principles.

Qualifications

• A clear calling to pastoral ministry and a strong personal walk with Christ.
• Ordained (or eligible for ordination) in a Southern Baptist or like-minded Baptist church.
• Completion of Seminary training.
• Experience in pastoral ministry and church leadership (Minimum 3 years).

Responsibilities

• Preach biblically faithful, Christ-centered sermons each week.
• Provide pastoral care including counseling and hospital visits.
• Lead the church staff and coordinate ministry leaders/volunteers.
• Encourage outreach in the local community.
• Partner with worship leadership to ensure services are God-honoring.
