Job summary

Bethel Alliance Church in Bethel, Maine, is seeking a Lead Pastor to shepherd a Christ-centered congregation committed to biblical teaching, authentic community, and outreach in western Maine.

The ideal candidate will be ordained or CMA-licensed, have 5+ years of pastoral ministry, and bring strong preaching, discipleship, evangelism, and leadership development. You will work closely with the elders, mentor ministry leaders, and help grow a vibrant rural church.

Qualifications

• Ordination or CMA licensing/ordination requirements.
• Five or more years of pastoral ministry experience preferred.
• Spiritual maturity, integrity, humility, wisdom.
• Gifted communicator and partner with elders.

Responsibilities

• Preach and teach God's Word faithfully and clearly.
• Shepherd the congregation through pastoral care, visitation, and prayer.
• Work with the elders, oversee ministries, and support volunteers.
• Develop emerging leaders as transitions occur.
• Strengthen evangelism and community partnerships.
• Model servant-hearted, empowering leadership.
