Job summary

Pathway Baptist Church in Prudentine, Michigan, seeks a relational Lead Pastor to shepherd a small congregation (30–50 members) with a hands-on leadership style. The role combines pulpit ministry with day-to-day church administration in a warm, small-church setting.

The Lead Pastor will be the primary spiritual leader, preaching biblically sound sermons and providing pastoral care, visiting members, and guiding ministry teams.

Qualifications

• Must meet biblical character qualifications and demonstrate a shepherding heart.
• Strong doctrinal alignment with Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
• Experience in small to mid-sized congregations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Expository preaching: deliver weekly gospel-centered sermons.
• Relational shepherding: pastoral care through visits and prayer.
• Discipleship & small groups: lead or equip volunteers for Bible studies and Sunday School.
• Collaborative leadership with deacons and committees on administration and budgets.
• Ordinances & services: administer baptism and the Lord’s Supper, perform weddings and funerals.
