Job summary

Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation in Steamboat Springs, CO is seeking a Lead Parking Attendant for the winter season. You will supervise a team of about 15 parking staff, coordinate daily lot schedules and ensure safe traffic flow and guest service.

This role requires at least one parking season of experience, a valid driver's license, and ability to work early shifts starting at 6:00 AM; you will help optimize operations and support safety and revenue goals.

Qualifications

• 2 years of previous work history/education required.
• One season of parking related experience.
• Must understand and comply with all company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Lead by example with a positive attitude and cooperative work style.
• Must communicate verbally and non-verbally in a guest-friendly manner.
• Report to work timely at 6:00 AM.
• Possess a valid Driver's License and meet insurability standards per Alterra Driver’s Standards Policy.
• Must problem-solve effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Parking Supervisor with leadership for a staff of 15 parking employees.
• Coordinate daily lot schedules, including breaks and labor management.
• Provide traffic control of vehicles entering and leaving parking lots; ensure safety and pedestrian flow.
• Deliver Service Excellence to guests with resort information and directions.
• Transport guests safely from pick-up locations to the ski area.
• Schedule and staff lots to maintain parking and improve efficiency.
• Assist with snow removal and ice build-up prevention around parking lots.
• Support Base Area Services/Security/Facilities on projects as needed.
• Handle about 2000 cars daily and 150,000 cars seasonally.
