Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • At least two years’ experience as a lead paramedic in a progressive 911 system.
  • Completion of a qualified Paramedic program and acceptance for certification in the State of Texas.
  • Maintain current Valid Texas Driver’s License.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR card.
  • NIMS 100,200,700,800.
  • Effective communication both oral and written.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Knowledge of Texas Administrative Code 157.

Responsibilities

  • Render non-emergency and emergency pre-hospital care.
  • Assess call situations and determine best course of action.
  • Develop and utilize triage skills for efficiency during calls.
  • Act as team leader during scene management.
  • Document information accurately on required forms and communications.
