Domtar's Johnsonburg, PA paper mill seeks a J1 Paper Machine Supervisor to lead two shift crews, optimize production, and maintain safety and quality standards. You will drive continuous improvement and ensure reliable operation in a high-demand setting.

With 4+ years on paper machines and strong leadership, you will plan grades, manage schedules, and mentor team members while ensuring adherence to environmental and safety standards. This role is full-time on site.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of operating experience on paper machines.
• Basic papermaking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Positive employee/labor relations and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to work overtime and on-call; high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the productivity of two shift crews and the operation's efficiency.
• Manage team performance and supervise maintenance during shifts.
• Ensure employees have skills and resources to work safely and effectively.
• Optimize productivity, equipment efficiency and product quality while reducing waste.
• Plan grades changes and provide feedback on production changes.
• Input scheduling data and move resources for best utilization.
• Communicate about shipments and resolve issues with on-shift teams.
• Prepare shift reports and perform root cause analysis for issues.
