Job summary

Johnson Outdoors Inc. is seeking a Production Lead at our Lake Eufaula, Alabama facility. The role leads Production Associates on the assigned shift to meet productivity, quality, and cost targets, coordinating tasks and addressing production issues on the floor.

You will supervise daily operations, mentor staff, ensure safety standards, and drive process improvements while supporting the company’s outdoor brands across Fishing, Camping, Watercraft and Diving.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years on the production floor with multiple skills.
• Ability to lead a team and work under tight deadlines.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills to guide team members.
• Ability to make independent and effective decisions.
• Willingness to learn new skills and processes.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
• Basic proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assign tasks to production staff according to the daily production schedule.
• Troubleshoot processes and equipment when issues arise.
• Monitor workloads and alert leadership to coverage gaps.
• Train team members and provide informal coaching.
• Prepare materials via work orders and indirect materials for production use.
• Seek process, cost and quality improvements; monitor product quality.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards on the floor.
• Perform day-to-day production activities and operate equipment.
• Track and report process data and KPIs; ensure compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
