Job summary

OhioHealth in Ohio is seeking an Occupational Therapist to interpret patients' history, assess deficits, and develop a care plan to maximize functional outcomes. You will provide direct patient care, document progress, and coordinate discharge planning with a multidisciplinary team.

In addition to delivering treatment, you will mentor students, supervise OTA staff, and participate in departmental education activities. Licensure in Ohio and 2 years of clinical practice are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree is required.
• Licensed OT in Ohio.
• Two years of clinical practice.
• One year experience as CI to affiliating students.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient motor, cognitive, sensory and psychosocial function and develop an individualized plan of care.
• Implement plan of care using biomechanical, sensorimotor or rehabilitative approaches.
• Reassess and adjust care plan as needed.
• Maintain productivity expectations of the department.
• Coordinate discharge planning with multidisciplinary team and educate patient/family.
• Document evaluations, plans, progress and discharge information for the care team.
• Supervise OTA staff and rehab technicians.
• Engage in department quality improvement and staff meetings.
• Serve as clinical instructor for OT and OTA students.
• Coordinate clinical education of student affiliates from accredited programs.
