Job summary
Unisys Corporation seeks an experienced database architect/administrator to lead Business Availability and Disaster Recovery planning for Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments, ensuring high availability and validated recovery objectives across production, test, development, and DR systems.
The role requires deep expertise in Oracle and SQL Server design, installation, configuration, and maintenance, along with strongSecurity controls, performance tuning, and collaboration with developers
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience with 6-8 years in the field.
- Deep expertise in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server design, administration, and optimization.
- Experience leading complex HA/DR projects for Oracle and SQL Server.
- Proven track record with HA/DR solutions including Data Guard, RAC, Always On, FCI and related strategies.
- Experience with SQL Server 2016/2019/2022+.
- U.S. Citizenship and residency required.
Responsibilities
- Lead HA/DR strategy and governance for Oracle and SQL Server environments.
- Define policies and procedures supporting availability and recovery objectives.
- Drive end-to-end availability, performance monitoring, and capacity planning.
- Own backups, recovery, and disaster recovery configuration and testing.
- Provide admin support across production, test, and development systems.
