Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited institution.
• Current California Optometry license.
• Prior clinical experience; leadership or mentoring considered an asset.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with clinic and support teams.
• Proficiency with electronic health records systems.
• Strong communication skills and patient-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments.
• Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, including dry eye and myopia management.
• Prescribe treatments to maintain, improve, and correct vision.
• Provide clinical leadership and support a consistent standard of patient care across the practice.
• Partner with the clinic team to support patient flow, doctor scheduling, and overall practice growth.
• Make clear recommendations and communicate effectively with dispensary staff.
• Maintain complete and accurate clinical records, including findings and prescriptions.
• Practice within a fully equipped optometry exam lane, including Optomap technology.

The Opportunity

With the partnership and support of FYidoctors USA, a leading eye care practice in the North Bay Area is seeking a full-time Lead Optometrist to join our team in San Rafael, California. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced optometrist who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, supporting clinic growth, and helping guide the clinical direction of the practice.

You’ll practice in a fully equipped optometry environment, provide comprehensive eye care, and work closely with the clinic team to strengthen patient experience, operational consistency, and long-term practice success.

• Approximately 14 or more patients per day with 30-minute exam slots
