Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in a lab or technical setting.
• Experience in the optical industry is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the lab team in cutting, edging and creating prescription lenses to ensure prompt, accurate glasses.
• Read and interpret prescription specifications and input into the computer to ensure lenses are cut properly.
• Maintain the lab area and equipment in a safe and organized manner; perform routine maintenance as scheduled.
• Perform multiple concurrent tasks at several equipment stations to maintain smooth workflow and complete reporting forms.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and assist in moving heavy lab equipment when necessary.
