Job summary

Eyemart Express in Longview, WA is seeking a Lead Optical Lab Technician to lead the lab team in cutting, edging, and creating prescription lenses to ensure customers receive their glasses promptly. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and 2–5 years of lab or technical experience, with optical industry background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lab Leadership: identify and work with optical lab equipment, tools, supplies and materials; meet hourly deadlines.
• Prescription Management: read and input prescriptions into the computer to ensure lenses are cut properly.
• Maintenance: maintain lab area and equipment with scheduled maintenance.
• Operational Excellence: perform multiple tasks at several equipment stations and complete reporting forms.
• Team Collaboration: build relationships and assist in moving heavy lab equipment when needed.
