Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to lead a health care team, delivering professional nursing care according to established standards, policies, and procedures. The position requires active California RN licensure, AOS certification within 6 months, BLS, and at least 6 months of acute/sub-acute experience. Leadership and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license (California)
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Provider Certification within 6 months of hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum six (6) months of experience required in an acute or sub-acute facility within the last three (3) years.
• Notes: twelve (12) hour option may apply (7:00 pm–7:30 am); backup 8 hour shift (11:00 pm–7:30 am)

Responsibilities

• Leads the healthcare team and delegates tasks appropriately with accountability.
• Demonstrates nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Mentors, orientates, and coaches staff in unit operations and patient care activities.
• Ensures patient safety by following standards of practice and regulatory requirements.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and the health care team; participates in problem resolution.
• Maintains documentation reflecting nursing processes and interventions; utilizes computer systems efficiently for patient care.
