Job summary

Encompass Design & Remodeling is seeking a Residential Skilled Carpenter to support high-end remodeling projects across the Greater Grand Rapids and Lakeshore areas. You will lead demolition, framing, prep work, and daily site execution, ensuring on-site issues are documented and resolved with minimal supervision.

The role emphasizes on-site craftsmanship, problem solving, and clear communication with the project manager to keep projects on schedule and up to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in high-end residential remodeling.
• Strong framing experience in remodeling environments, not only new construction.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, scopes of work, and design documents.
• Demonstrated problem solving on active job sites and documentation of conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead hands-on residential remodeling work.
• Support demolition, framing, structural prep, and finish scopes.
• Direct daily job site operations for projects assigned by the project manager.
• Inspect work for quality and ensure timely completion per plans.
