Job summary

Medical City Plano is seeking a Nurse Manager for Women’s and Children’s Services to lead a high‑performing team in a dynamic, patient-centered environment. You will be accountable for a defined unit, drive evidence-based nursing care, and guide staff through performance improvement initiatives.

Qualified candidates will have a BSN, Texas RN license, and at least 2 years in nursing management, with MSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a nursing management position.
• RN license in Texas or compact license.
• National Specialty Certification or plan to achieve within 1 year.
• BLS/ACLS as required by units; NRP and STABLE within 6 months of hire.
• BSN required; MSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• 24/7 accountability for a defined patient care area and autonomous, evidence-based nursing care.
• Lead unit staff and practice autonomously within standards and policy.
• Review budget and maintain operating expenses at target levels.
• Promote customer-focused care, service recovery and performance improvement.
• Ensure staff education and participation in safety, infection control and patient safety goals.
