Overview

Our client is a leading energy company seeking an experienced Lead Nuclear Electrical Engineer to join their nuclear operations team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned engineering professional to lead complex nuclear projects and provide technical expertise in a critical infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced technical expertise in support of nuclear plant operations
  • Lead large-scale nuclear engineering projects with minimal supervision
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and facilitate problem-solving initiatives
  • Perform specialized electrical/I&C engineering functions including power systems analysis
  • Apply nuclear industry standards and regulations to novel situations
  • Utilize computational tools such as ETAP and EDISON for power system analysis
  • Develop ladder logic and conduct safe shutdown analysis
  • Resolve high-level technical conflicts and provide backup supervision
  • Act as technical consultant to management and engineering teams
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (PE license preferred, may substitute for degree)
  • Experience: 15+ years of nuclear engineering or related experience
  • Extensive expertise in nuclear plant operations and engineering project management
  • Proficiency with power systems, electrical analysis, and nuclear safety systems
  • Experience with ETAP, EDISON, or similar computational tools
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Excellent conflict resolution and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently on complex, precedent-setting projects
