Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation seeks an experienced Lead Design Engineer to drive New Product Development from concept to production, ensuring robust, manufacturable designs. The role involves leading design teams onsite and offshore, maintaining CAD model integrity, and coordinating ECNs to meet program objectives.

Preferred candidates have a mechanical engineering degree and CREO/Windchill expertise, with the ability to travel up to 5% and collaborate across Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of product design experience in an engineering environment.
• 3+ years CAD or 3D modeling experience; 3+ years PLM release processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead design execution for NPD projects from concept through production release.
• Own technical integrity and consistency of CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and configurations.
• Coordinate and drive Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) including scope, checklists, and release sequencing.
• Resolve complex design and integration issues with cross-functional teams.
• Provide day-to-day technical directions to onsite and offshore designers with quality assurance.
