Job summary

Pennoni is seeking a NJ Licensed Professional Planner to lead project-level planners and support staff on multi-disciplinary planning projects in New Jersey. The role requires knowledge of MLUL and related planning statutes and regulations.

Responsibilities include master plans, zoning, development regulations, public participation, and design guidelines. 10+ years of experience, AICP and PP licensure are required; GIS familiarity and strong communication are expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Planning, Architecture, or Landscape Architecture.
• 10+ years of work experience.
• AICP Certification.
• NJ Licensed Professional Planner (PP).
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Adobe Suite.
• Experience in comprehensive planning and urban design principles.
• Familiarity with GIS.
• Ability to work in a team with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead project-level planners and support staff on multi-disciplinary planning projects.
• Prepare master plans, zoning ordinances, and development regulations.
• Perform as Project Manager for planning projects including staff, budget, and schedule.
• Prepare evaluation criteria of Municipal Planning review letters/documents.
• Plan and facilitate public participation events for land use plans.
• Attend night meetings or public engagement events if required.
