Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Night Shift Lead to oversee a warehouse team Wed-Sat, 6:00 PM–4:30 AM. You will ensure orders are completed on time, coach staff, and maintain inventory accuracy using WMS and handheld scanners.

This role requires at least 1 year in a warehouse setting, a high school diploma or equivalent, and willingness to work flexible overtime including weekends. You'll work on a fast-paced shift with safety and efficiency as top priorities.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld scanners.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work nights and weekends; overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support operational processes to maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure orders are completed on time.
• Coordinate daily workload and direct employees on task priorities.
• Train and coach team members on procedures and best practices.
• Operate the warehouse management system and maintain accurate work documents.
• Promote a high standard of customer service on the floor.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures to ensure team compliance.
• Safely operate equipment alongside your team.
• Provide support to warehouse management as needed.
• Monitor orders and assist in identifying issues and resolutions.
• Catalog and track goods and supplies.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace per the 5S program.

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Support operational processes to help maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure orders are completed correctly and on time
• Assist in coordinating daily workload and directing employees on task priorities
• Help train and coach team members on proper procedures and best practices
• Utilize the warehouse management system and maintain accurate work documents
• Model and promote a high standard of customer service on the floor
• Follow and reinforce company policies and safety procedures to ensure team compliance
• Safely operate various equipment and tools alongside your team
• Act as a resource and support for warehouse management as needed
• Monitor orders and assist in identifying and resolving problems
• Assist with cataloging and tracking goods and/or supplies
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with the 5S program
• Work in a safe manner that protects you and your team members

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

• 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld scanners

It'd be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including planned and unplanned overtime which may include weekends
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Background in safety, OSHA or EHS training

This job requires the ability to:

• Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 75 lbs. occasionally
• Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
