Job summary

Oakland Unified School District Technology Services in Oakland, California is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement and support the district\'s multi-site network infrastructure. The position runs 261 days per year at 7.5 hours per day, with a salary grade WTCL 64 and a current salary range of $99,049.50 to $132,738.08 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technology-related field and seven years experience maintaining network systems in a multi-site WAN environment.
• CCNA, CCNE or CCIE certifications strongly preferred; MCP/MCSE or equivalent experience also acceptable.
• Valid California Driver’s License and employment eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and leadership to network engineers and system administrators.
• Monitor and maintain servers, routers and network equipment for security and reliability.
• Document changes and maintain network configurations, DNS, DHCP and firewall settings.
