Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Principal Network Architect to lead SRE-style development for a scalable global connectivity platform.

You will guide software engineering and reliability practices, architect scalable infrastructure, and mentor cross-functional teams to reduce toil and improve reliability. Ideal candidates have extensive experience in network and software engineering, with deep expertise in Python, Ansible, Kubernetes, and modern telemetry stacks.

Qualifications

• 15 years of relevant experience in network and software engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Expert proficiency in Python, Ansible, Kubernetes and Source of Truth platforms.
• Demonstrated leadership in large-scale IP routing and network fabric architectures.
• Ability to thrive in an evolving environment with agility.

Responsabilités

• Lead architectural design and development software supporting Akamai's global connectivity platform.
• Drive software-defined automation to eliminate operational toil and improve network infrastructure reliability.
• Establish telemetry systems and observability stacks for real-time monitoring of global network traffic and security services.
• Champion software engineering best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and SDLC standards across architecture and engineering teams.
• Steer capacity planning strategies and cost optimization across distributed routing, fabric, and edge security systems.
