Job summary

We are seeking a skilled Nail Technician to join the Highgate Hotels team in Lahaina, Hawaii. You will perform manicures, pedicures, gel applications, and nail enhancements while maintaining sanitary workspaces and delivering exceptional client service.

The ideal candidate has a strong nail care background, eff ective communication skills, and the ability to upsell services. Flexibility for long hours and basic waxing duties is a plus, with a focus on guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or 1-year experience in a spa or related field preferred.
• At least 1-year retail experience preferred.
• Bi-lingual preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel applications and nail enhancements, foot soaks.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment in compliance with health regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by understanding client needs and preferences.
• Upsell additional services or products to enhance the client experience and meet sales goals.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in nail care and techniques to provide clients with the best options available.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding their desired outcomes and aftercare instructions.
• Assist with body waxing services as needed, ensuring a comprehensive beautyexperience for clients.
• Minor Management responsibilities - Communicating with Director for inventory needs, assisting with required training of other Nail Techs, and serving as the license anchor for all nail services.
