Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking a senior Power Systems Engineer to architect MVDC distribution for giga-watt campuses and own EMT fault/stability analyses. You will lead the DC Systems Team, coordinating with SST and facility electrical groups to define protection philosophies and safety cases amid evolving standards.

The role requires deep expertise in MVDC/HVDC systems, end-to-end architecture, grounding and fault behavior, and hands-on EMT simulation experience using PSCAD/EMTDC.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in power systems or power electronics with MVDC/HVDC experience
• Owns system-level architecture, grounding, fault behavior, and stability
• Fluent in EMT simulation (PSCAD/EMTDC) and proven design proofs

Responsibilities

• Architect MVDC distribution for gigawatt-scale campuses.
• Own the EMT model and run fault & stability analyses.
• Define protection philosophy and safety case across standards gaps.
• Lead the DC Systems team and align with SST and facility electrical teams.
• Drive vendor strategy for SSCBs, converters, and DC-rated components
